Wendy V. Muñiz is an Assistant Professor of Critical Social Analysis in the Department of Social Science and Cultural Studies at Pratt Institute, where she co-coordinates the Social Media Lab and is co-director of the Global South Center. An educator, curator, and filmmaker, her research praxis focuses on the commodification of archival violence, its racialization and (un)gendering, in the post-emancipation Caribbean. She is the author of various articles and producer and director of award-winning films on decolonizing Latin American canons, pillaged archives theory, and the BIPOC intervention of colonial cartographies as structures of feeling.
